Privacy Policy | Cirqify

This policy explains how Cirqify (“Cirqify,” “we,” “us”) handles information when you use the Cirqify app on iPhone, iPad or Mac and the cirqify.com website (together, the “Services”).

The short version

When you submit a circled photo, we use it only to produce your findings, and we delete it from our servers once the analysis is done.
Your issues, notices, replies and photos live on your device and in your own private iCloud account. We can’t see them.
You sign in with Apple. We never ask for a password, and we don’t need your email address.
We measure how the app is used so we can improve it, but never the content of your photos, notices or issues.
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t show ads.

What we collect

Photos you submit for analysis

When you circle a concern and submit a photo, we receive the marked photo along with the site context you’ve chosen, such as your project’s state and employer type. We use them to identify potential issues and the standards that may apply.

Your account

Cirqify uses Sign in with Apple. Apple gives us a stable, app-specific identifier for your account, which we use to keep your subscription and weekly issue allowance with you across devices. We don’t need or store your name or email address for this.

Purchases

Subscriptions and extra issues are bought through Apple. We never see your payment card. We receive your purchase and subscription status so we can unlock the features you paid for.

App usage information

We record how the app is used: for example, that an analysis finished, a notice was shared, or a reply was imported, with simple counts like the number of issues in a notice. These records include your account identifier, app version, device type, whether you subscribe, and an approximate location (country, region and city) inferred from your IP address. They never include your photos, PDF contents, issue descriptions, names, contacts or addresses. We don’t record your screen and we don’t capture every tap.

Information that stays on your device

Your projects, issues, notices, recipient names and contact details, replies and photos are stored on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your private iCloud account. We don’t have access to that data.

Camera and Photos. Used to take or choose site photos and to save originals to your Cirqify album.
Location. If you allow it, used on your device to pin project sites and suggest switching projects when you arrive at another one. We don’t receive your location from this feature.

When you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include, and we use it to help you.

Our website

cirqify.com does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Like most websites, our hosting provider processes standard request information, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver and protect the site.

How we use it

To provide the Services, including analyzing your photos and keeping your subscription and allowance working.
To understand which features are used and where people get stuck, so we can make Cirqify better.
To prevent abuse, secure our systems, and enforce our terms.
To answer your questions and support requests.
To comply with the law.

We don’t use your photos or the content of your issues to advertise to you, and we don’t sell or rent your personal information.

We share information only with service providers that help us run Cirqify, under contracts that limit their use to providing services to us:

Cloud hosting and storage providers that run our servers and process analysis requests.
AI model providers that process a submitted photo and its context to produce your findings.
A product analytics provider that stores the app usage information described above.
A subscription management provider that helps us verify purchases made through Apple.
Apple, for Sign in with Apple, in-app purchases and iCloud, under Apple’s own privacy policy.

We may also disclose information if required by law or valid legal process, to protect the rights, safety or property of our users or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.

When you send a notice or reply, you choose the app and the recipient, such as Mail or Messages. That content goes from your device to your recipient and does not pass through us.

How long we keep it

Submitted photos: deleted from our servers as soon as the analysis finishes.
Analysis results: kept on our servers for up to 24 hours so your device can collect them, then deleted. The copy saved in your app stays with you.
Account and purchase status: kept while you use Cirqify, and deleted on request.
App usage information: kept for as long as it’s useful for improving Cirqify, generally no more than 24 months, then deleted or made anonymous.
Support emails: kept as long as needed to help you, then deleted.

Your choices and controls

Permissions. You can turn camera, photo and location access on or off at any time in iOS Settings → Cirqify.
Your records. Delete issues and projects in the app. To remove Cirqify’s data from iCloud, go to Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → Cirqify.
Sign in with Apple. You can stop using your Apple Account with Cirqify in Settings → [your name] → Sign-In & Security → Sign in with Apple.
Delete your account data. Email support@cirqify.com with the subject “Delete my data.” We’ll delete your account record and app usage information within 30 days. Canceling a subscription is done separately through Apple.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, including California and other US states with privacy laws, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. We don’t sell or share personal information for targeted advertising. To make a request, email us from any address; we may ask for details to confirm the request is yours, such as your account identifier shown in the app. You can use an authorized agent, and we won’t treat you differently for exercising your rights. We respond within 45 days.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and short-lived credentials to protect your information, and we keep as little as we can for as short a time as we can. No system is perfectly secure, so if we learn of a breach that affects you, we’ll let you know as the law requires.

Children

Cirqify is a professional tool for construction work and is not designed specifically for children. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update the effective date above. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we’ll tell you in the app or on this site before it takes effect.
