How can we help?
Answers to the questions we hear most. Still stuck? Write to us and a real person who knows job sites will get back to you.
Getting started
How do I flag my first hazard?
Tap the plus button, take a photo or pick one from your library, and draw a circle around what concerns you. Tap Submit. While we check it, you can keep marking more photos. When the result is ready, review the suggested issues, keep the ones that apply, and tap Confirm.
Can I mark several photos in one go?
Yes. Select as many photos as you like and you’ll mark them one by one. Each photo is checked in the background as soon as you submit it, so you never wait between photos. Results show up on your Desk when they’re ready.
How long does a check take?
Usually under a minute. If you close the app, we pick up where we left off the next time you open it.
What should I circle?
Circle one concern at a time, as tightly as you comfortably can: the open edge, the missing plank, the damaged cord. If a photo shows two problems, you can circle the whole area. We’ll list each potential issue separately and you choose which to keep.
Why does it ask me to verify things on site?
A photo can’t show everything a rule depends on, like the exact height of a drop or the depth of a trench. We list those facts under Verify on site so you can confirm them before sending a notice. Our findings point to rules that may apply. They are not OSHA citations or legal determinations.
How do I set my project’s state?
Open Project, choose or create your project, and set its state and employer type. We use them to bring in the federal and state-plan rules that apply there.
Notices and replies
How do I send a corrective action notice?
Open a confirmed issue, add the recipient and due date, and tap Share. We create the notice PDF and a ready-to-send email or text message. To send several issues to the same person, select them together and we’ll combine them into one PDF.
Does the person I send it to need Cirqify?
No. They can reply in Adobe Acrobat Reader (with after-photos), in Preview on a Mac (photos sent separately), or in Cirqify, where replying is always free. Point them to cirqify.com/reply for step-by-step help.
How do I bring a reply back in?
Open the reply PDF and share it to Cirqify, or use Import in the app. You can import many replies at once. Each response, status and after-photo is filed under the issue it answers.
A reply didn’t match any issue. What happened?
Replies are matched through the original notice. If someone retyped the notice, printed and scanned it, or saved it in a way that removed its form fields, we can’t match it. Ask them to fill in and return the same PDF you sent.
The recipient used Preview and the photos are missing.
Preview can fill in text but can’t add photos to the form. Ask them to send the after-photos by text or email, then add them to the issue in Cirqify.
How do I close out an issue?
After you check the fix on site, open the issue and tap Resolve issue. You can then export a before-and-after closeout PDF for the project file.
Plans and billing
What do the plans include?
Weekly is $7.99 per week with 20 issues a week. Yearly is $149.99 per year with 30 issues a week. Both include notices, batch PDFs, reply import, and project reviews. Replying to a notice you received is always free.
How does the weekly issue allowance work?
Each confirmed issue counts toward your allowance. It resets every 7 days and unused issues don’t roll over. Need more in a busy week? Subscribers can add Extra issues, which never expire.
How do I cancel or change my plan?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On iPhone or iPad, go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Cirqify. Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid the next charge. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles all payments, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Sign in with your Apple Account, find the Cirqify purchase, and choose Request a refund.
I bought a plan but Cirqify doesn’t show it.
Make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple Account you used to buy it, then tap Restore purchases on the plans screen. If it still doesn’t appear, email us and include the date of the purchase.
Account and data
Why do I sign in with Apple?
It keeps your subscription and allowance with you on every device, without a password. We don’t need your email address.
Where are my issues and photos stored?
On your device, and in your own private iCloud account when iCloud is turned on. That’s how they appear on your iPhone, iPad and Mac. We don’t have access to them.
My records aren’t showing up on my other device.
Check that both devices are signed in to the same Apple Account, that iCloud Drive is on, and that you have iCloud storage available. Open Cirqify on both devices while connected to the internet and give it a minute to sync.
How do I delete my data?
Delete issues and projects in the app. To remove Cirqify’s iCloud data, go to Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → Cirqify. To delete your account record on our side, email us with the subject “Delete my data.” See our privacy policy for details.
Troubleshooting
A check failed or is taking too long.
Make sure you’re connected to the internet, then open the photo on your Desk and tap Retry analysis. Results that sit uncollected for more than a day expire, so just submit the photo again if you see that message.
The result doesn’t mention what I circled.
The circled area may be too dark, blurry, or far away to judge. Take a closer, steadier photo of the concern and circle it again.
The camera or photo library won’t open.
Go to Settings → Cirqify and allow access to Camera and Photos.
Something else isn’t working.
Update to the latest version of Cirqify from the App Store and restart the app. If that doesn’t fix it, email us with your device model, iOS version, and a screenshot if you can.
